About The Role
As a hands-on IT Manager, you will lead and manage our company’s IT operations, ensuring the seamless performance of our on-premises systems and the growing cloud environment. This is a role for a self-motivated leader who can independently oversee the full spectrum of IT needs, while also rolling up their sleeves to handle critical technical work directly. You’ll lead a small IT team, including managing and developing an IT staff member, and take full ownership of our IT strategy, operations, and vendor relationships.
The ideal candidate will have solid technical proficiency across Microsoft 365, Azure, general networking, security best practices, and end-user support. You will ensure our IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, and evolving with business needs — combining leadership, practical execution, and continuous improvement.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Lead the management of IT infrastructure across on-premises systems and Azure cloud, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.

Oversee network performance, physical servers, LAN/WAN, Voip, and VPN systems, coordinating with vendors as needed.

Manage Microsoft 365 environment, including administration, user access, security, and troubleshooting.

Manage and mentor an IT staff member, providing technical development and task delegation.

Own relationships with IT vendors, handling contracts for hardware, software, cloud services, and outsourced support.

Ensure security, data protection, disaster recovery, and compliance across all systems.

Maintain and update IT policies, asset registers, software licensing, backups, and lifecycle documentation.

Coordinate software deployment and patching, and manage onboarding/offboarding processes.

Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues, supporting smooth day-to-day operations.
- Maintain thorough documentation of IT infrastructure and procedures.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- 6+ years of broad IT experience across systems, networking, and cloud platforms.

Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration, Azure infrastructure, and Windows Server environments.

Skilled in endpoint management, MDM tools (e.g., Intune), and VoIP/unified communications systems.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, switches).

Familiar with IT security best practices, endpoint protection, backup solutions, and disaster recovery planning.
- Experienced in managing IT policies and supporting compliance and audit activities.

Strong troubleshooting abilities across hardware, software, and network issues.
- Exposure to scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell) and familiarity with project management tools and frameworks (e.g., Agile, ITIL).

Experienced in managing third-party vendors and negotiating service contracts.
