We usually respond within a week
Over the past 30 years, we’ve grown from humble beginnings with a single computer to a global technology company (ASX-300 listed company, JIN). Partnering with over 15,000 good causes worldwide and helping raise more than $260 million last financial year.
We develop cutting-edge solutions empowering our lottery and not-for-profit partners to raise funds for their vital causes. We believe in fostering an environment where talented people can innovate, grow, and have fun.
What will you be doing?
You will step into a newly-created, strategic leadership role overseeing the evolution of our data platform. You will provide both technical and people leadership, driving transformation and efficiency for internal and SaaS client data solutions. You will lead a talented team of data engineers to design scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures and pipelines that support marketing performance, analytics, and strategic initiatives, and play a pivotal role in modernising, consolidating, and commercialising our data infrastructure.
In this role, you will lead a team of two data engineers and report to the GM of Saas & Managed Services, collaborating regularly with senior executives, analysts, product, engineering, and SaaS clients. Your leadership will ensure best practices in data governance, quality, and security are upheld while fostering innovation and continuous improvement within your team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of data at a dynamic, growth-focused technology company serving both internal and external clients.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure data architectures and automated pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery, including migration from legacy platforms (e.g., Jasper, Pentaho) to modern cloud-based stacks.
Develop and optimise data models and ensure reliable deployment through continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
Collaborate closely with analytics, product, marketing, and engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Implement and enforce data quality, governance, and security standards to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Monitor data platform performance, proactively identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for best practices and innovation within the team.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, architectures, and workflows.
Support ad hoc reporting and data requests to assist various business functions.
Balance transformation projects, ongoing support, and hands-on engineering as needed, managing priorities across multiple concurrent projects and streams.
Oversee the development and optimisation of data solutions for both internal business needs and SaaS clients, ensuring business continuity and cost efficiency.

Proven experience in data engineering, including a leadership role, ideally with SaaS/client-facing project delivery
