Engineering Manager
We usually respond within a week
Over 30 years, we've grown from humble beginnings (founded 1995) to a global digital lottery technology leader (ASX: JIN), operating in Australia, the UK, Canada and the USA. We partner with thousands of good causes worldwide, helping raise over $290M in FY25 alone. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do.
Our Growth – And It's By Design
Following a series of significant client wins and the expansion of our business through international acquisitions, we're in an exciting phase of growth. To support this momentum, we're scaling our engineering capability and building out our teams to meet increasing demand across our platforms and products.
This growth is driven by a deliberate investment ahead of demand as we support a larger, more complex, and increasingly global business. We're expanding our teams to continue delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
For engineers joining us, this is a chance to work on meaningful problems at scale—from supporting new clients and markets, to integrating and evolving acquired platforms, to helping shape how our platform will grow over time. You'll be joining a business with real momentum, plenty of opportunity to make an impact, and the chance to grow alongside it.
What will you be doing?
You’ll lead a cross-functional software development team responsible for delivering and supporting key systems within Jumbo’s platform. You’ll own the team’s end-to-end software delivery, partnering closely with Product to define clear goals, remove delivery roadblocks, and ensure your team consistently ships high-quality, reliable solutions that help our lottery and not-for-profit partners raise funds for good causes.
You’ll blend people leadership with strong technical judgment. While you won’t be coding every day, you’ll stay deeply involved in the technical direction of your products—shaping architecture, assessing feasibility, and acting as a subject matter expert on how your systems work, their business rules, and data flows. You’ll foster a culture of continuous improvement, coaching engineers in their careers, building a cohesive, high-performing team, and empowering them to learn, grow, and deliver their best work.
