Software Engineer - Front End (Mid)
We usually respond within a week
Over 30 years, we've grown from humble beginnings (founded 1995) to a global digital lottery technology leader (ASX: JIN), operating in Australia, the UK, Canada and the USA. We partner with thousands of good causes worldwide, helping raise over $290M in FY25 alone. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do.
Our Growth – And It's By Design
Following a series of significant client wins and the expansion of our business through international acquisitions, we're in an exciting phase of growth. To support this momentum, we're scaling our engineering capability and building out our teams to meet increasing demand across our platforms and products.
This growth is driven by a deliberate investment ahead of demand as we support a larger, more complex, and increasingly global business. We're expanding our teams to continue delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
For engineers joining us, this is a chance to work on meaningful problems at scale—from supporting new clients and markets, to integrating and evolving acquired platforms, to helping shape how our platform will grow over time. You'll be joining a business with real momentum, plenty of opportunity to make an impact, and the chance to grow alongside it.
What will you be doing?
You'll play a key role in designing, building, and optimising the user interfaces that power our lottery and fundraising platforms. You'll translate UX/UI designs into high-quality, performant, and accessible front-end experiences that work seamlessly across modern browsers and devices, helping our partners raise more funds for good causes around the world.
You'll be hands-on in the codebase, collaborating with engineers, product managers and quality analysts to deliver new features, refine existing functionality, and continuously improve the look, feel, and responsiveness of our applications.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

Work within a fast-paced continuous delivery environment, contributing to frequent releases and owning your changes from build through deployment and ongoing maintenance
Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Quality Assistance Analysts to refine requirements and deliver value incrementally.
Contribute to UI/UX decisions, providing input on usability, accessibility, and interaction design.
Accurately estimate work, manage your time effectively, and deliver tasks within agreed timelines.
Produce clear and timely technical documentation for features, components, and processes.
Continuously improve front-end standards and best practices.
What You’ll Be Able to Bring to the Role
Experience designing and developing user interfaces for complex software applications, with a strong focus on usability and intuitive user experiences
Proficiency in front-end development using modern programming and/or scripting languages and frameworks aligned to UI engineering, with a strong focus on React and TypeScript (e.g. React with TypeScript and other contemporary UI libraries or frameworks)

Ability to translate UI/UX design mockups and interaction patterns into high-quality, maintainable code

Effective time management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and provide realistic estimates for work
