Lifecycle Marketing Specialist
We usually respond within a week
In this lifecycle marketing role, you’ll help bring moments of joy to Australians by creating more opportunities to play and win across a wide range of commercial and charity lotteries. We give everyday Aussies the chance to dream — and we’re proudly Australian-owned and operated.
ASX-listed Jumbo Interactive owns Oz Lotteries and has operated as an online lottery retailer since 2005, and was one of the first online retailers. Our platform enables customers to play popular lotteries such as Powerball and Oz Lotto, alongside charity lotteries — a long-standing point of difference for our brand.
What will you be doing?
You'll own and execute data-driven lifecycle programs that keep our players engaged, active, and coming back. You'll move beyond basic "notification engine" comms to design, build, and optimise end-to-end journeys that support onboarding, activation, retention and reactivation across our large existing player base. You'll support a steady weekly cadence of lifecycle marketing activity.
You'll work with powerful marketing technology (martech) tools, including Braze (a customer engagement platform) and our business intelligence (BI) and analytics tools. You’ll partner closely with Insights, Brand & Content and other marketing specialists to turn data and experimentation into meaningful customer experiences. You’ll be hands-on in setting up campaigns, defining audiences, running A/B tests and iterating programs. You’ll keep a strong focus on contact governance, so we talk to the right customers at the right time on the right channel, and maximise long-term value from every player.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like
Design, build, launch and optimise end-to-end lifecycle campaigns and journeys that drive player activation, retention and reactivation across the customer journey.
Use Braze to build audiences, set up journeys, configure triggers and manage multi-channel messaging across email, push, in-app and SMS.
Leverage data and analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude, Looker, Power BI) to identify opportunities, define test hypotheses and continually improve campaign performance through A/B testing.
Leverage dynamic customer segments to deliver personalised messaging at scale, ensuring the right customer receives the right message at the right time.
Monitor campaign performance, extract actionable insights and report results to the Lifecycle, Insights and broader Marketing teams.
Collaborate with Insights, Brand & Content and internal peers to align campaigns with brand strategy, compliance, contact governance and behavioural insights, and plan experimentation roadmaps.
Own the evolution of our notification engine from simple draw alerts to sophisticated, customer-first programs with smarter segmentation and contact governance.
Manage and prioritise your workload across multiple programs at once, maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail while keeping stakeholders updated on progress, risks and dependencies.
What You’ll Be Able to Bring to the Role
Proven experience in a similar role (e.g. Lifecycle Specialist, CRM/Marketing Automation Specialist, Direct Marketing Specialist) in a business-to-consumer (B2C) digital product or eCommerce environment
Hands-on experience with a customer engagement or CRM platform (Braze preferred, or equivalent such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and generate actionable insights; solid understanding of experimentation frameworks, including A/B testing
Experience designing and executing end-to-end lifecycle programs across key stages such as onboarding, activation, retention, and reactivation
Technical aptitude with email, push, in-app and SMS channels; comfort with BI/analytics tools (Looker, Power BI, Amplitude or similar); and familiarity with HTML/CSS and webhooks for effective campaign delivery
A customer-first mindset with proven ability to manage multiple campaigns at once, prioritise effectively, iterate based on results, and deliver meticulous attention to detail and quality in your work
Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with Insights, Brand & Content, and other internal teams
Preferred: Willingness to learn the nuances of the lottery industry, including relevant regulations, and experience within a high-transacting, regulated industry (such as lotteries, bookmaking, online casino, banking, fintech or gaming)
Salary Banding: $110,000 - $130,000 + Super
