Engineering Manager - Data
We usually respond within a week
Over 30 years, we've grown from humble beginnings (founded 1995) to a global digital lottery technology leader (ASX: JIN), operating in Australia, the UK, Canada and the USA. We partner with thousands of good causes worldwide, helping raise over $290M in FY25 alone. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do.
Our Growth – And It's By Design
Following a series of significant client wins and the expansion of our business through international acquisitions, we're in an exciting phase of growth. To support this momentum, we're scaling our engineering capability and building out our teams to meet increasing demand across our platforms and products.
This growth is driven by a deliberate investment ahead of demand as we support a larger, more complex, and increasingly global business. We're expanding our teams to continue delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
For engineers joining us, this is a chance to work on meaningful problems at scale—from supporting new clients and markets, to integrating and evolving acquired platforms, to helping shape how our platform will grow over time. You'll be joining a business with real momentum, plenty of opportunity to make an impact, and the chance to grow alongside it.
What will you be doing?
You’ll lead a team of data engineers who design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers marketing performance, strategy, and data-driven decision-making across Jumbo. You’ll own the delivery of scalable data architectures and automated pipelines, ensuring our data stack is robust, secure, and optimised for both cloud and on-premise environments.
You’ll work closely with Analytics & Insights and other leaders across the business to turn data requirements into practical solutions that support reporting, analytics, AI, and data science initiatives. Balancing hands-on technical involvement with leadership, you’ll set direction, champion best practices in data engineering and governance, and create an environment where your team can innovate, grow, and continuously improve.
