Chief Financial Officer
Shape the financial future of a global, ASX-listed lottery technology group, leading finance, legal and compliance as we grow across markets and help good causes raise more.
We usually respond within two weeks
Over 30 years, Jumbo Interactive Limited (JIN) has grown from a single computer-operated business to a global ASX-listed digital lottery technology business, operating across Australia, the UK, Canada and the USA. We partner with thousands of good causes worldwide and have helped raise over $290 million in FY26 alone.
We build the platforms and products that power lottery and not-for-profit fundraising at scale. Our business brings together Lottery Retailing, Business-to-Consumer lottery products, Lottery Solutions and Managed Services, operating across multiple markets and regulatory environments.
As we continue to grow internationally, both organically and through acquisitions, we’re looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our finance, legal and corporate compliance functions into the next stage of the Group’s growth story. We’re looking for a candidate who brings expert skills and experience, sound judgement, takes ownership, and works constructively across different businesses and markets.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and Founder and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, you’ll lead the financial direction of the JIN Group.
The role combines listed-company financial stewardship with commercial leadership across financial planning, capital management, acquisitions and international operations. You’ll translate Group strategy into financial plans, bring clarity to performance and drive sound decisions about investment, resources and growth.
Your remit spans finance, ASX reporting, treasury, tax, investor relations, sustainability reporting, and legal and corporate compliance. You’ll own the Group’s financial risk and control environment, and work closely with the Risk & Compliance team in the Group COO’s area, which leads enterprise risk and regulatory compliance.
You’ll lead a team that includes the Heads of Corporate Finance, Financial Reporting and Tax, and the General Counsel. You’ll be the principal executive owner of the relationship with the Board’s Audit & Risk Committee, the external auditor, investors and lenders, and you’ll work closely with the CEO, the Executive Leadership Team and other leaders across our businesses.
Your Key Accountabilities
Partner with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on developing and executing Group strategy, and lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning and analysis across Lottery Retailing, B2C, Lottery Solutions and Managed Services.
Lead the capital management, treasury and foreign exchange functions, including the Group’s capital structure, dividend policy, debt facilities and covenant compliance.
Lead the financial side of the Group’s M&A program, from pipeline evaluation and due diligence through to integration and post-acquisition review.
Ensure accurate, timely statutory and management reporting, present to the Board and Audit & Risk Committee, and manage the external audit.
Own the Group Financial Framework and the financial risk and control environment across all businesses and jurisdictions.
Comply with the Group’s ASX and finance-related regulatory obligations, including the financial aspect of licence conditions and the handling of customer funds and prize monies.
Lead the investor relations function, together with the CEO, as well as sustainability reporting, including mandatory climate-related disclosures.
Lead the Group’s legal and corporate compliance function, including tax governance, corporate governance policies and compliance with the Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules.
Build and lead a high-performing, multi-site Finance and Legal team (11 FTE), and drive improvements in finance systems, data and automation.
What You’ll Be Able to Bring to the Role
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a similar discipline, and a CA or CPA qualification.
Substantial senior finance experience, including at least five years as a CFO or senior finance executive, building and leading high-performing teams.
ASX-listed company experience, working directly with a Board and Audit & Risk Committee and engaging with investors and analysts.
A proven M&A track record, and strong capital markets, treasury and foreign exchange experience.
Experience leading finance across multiple jurisdictions, ideally Australia, the UK and North America, and building scalable processes, systems and controls.
The ability to communicate complex financial matters clearly and bring sound commercial judgement to executive and Board discussions.
Highly regarded: experience in a regulated industry (such as lotteries, gaming, wagering or financial services), in digital or SaaS businesses, and overseeing a legal function.
Remuneration: An executive remuneration package reflecting the scope of the role and your experience.
